A1 Computer Repairs Ltd, formerly Westek Computers Ltd initially provided an in-house PC Sales/Repair service based in Brooklands, South Manchester.

Through our understanding of the increasing demand for on site visits 'in your own Home and Business', A1 has significantly developed into a facility targeting the crucial needs for customers by offering a range of services 'on-site'.

Our goal is to offer a "Total Support Package" on a wide range of multi-vendor IT parts and full units, including Servers, Desktops, Notebooks and Printers.

What sort of support do you offer after you have fixed the job?

All hardware components come with a 12 month warranty. A package which includes further Software support is also available.

What happens if you are unable to solve the issue?

We firmly believe that there is no problem that cannot be fixed. Nevertheless if we were unable to recommend a solution we promise to waive our callout fee. As of yet, we have not encountered a problem we have not been able to rectify.

What operating systems, applications and setups do you specialise in?

The majority of our clients are Microsoft users and our expertise covers the full range of MS products including: DOS, Windows 95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000, XP, Vista, NT4, Small Business Server, Terminal Services, Server Standard/Premium and Exchange. We also configure and support various Linux setups that include Remote Backup, Apache (Web Server), Samba (File Server) and FTP Server.

How do you deal with confidentiality?

We understand that from time to time our work will bring us into contact with information which for legal, regulatory or purely business reasons, our clients would consider to be confidential. As part of our contract we explicitly agree not to share, transmit or otherwise disclose any confidential or privileged information to which A1 computing may become party in the course of its dealings, and to hold any backup or copy data retained as part of the contract on a secure server to which only A1 Computer Technicians have access.

What is the average callout time?

A typical business contract would provide that every problem is attended to "within" 8 hours. However, we aim to beat this target and to respond as quickly as possible to high priority and emergency cases.

How much does a maintenance contract cost?

Because we tailor our contracts to suit the specific demands of your business, it is difficult to accurately estimate the cost of a particular contract without first carrying out a thorough assessments. However, please feel free to contact our one of our advisers for a no obligation quote. Example: To give you a very rough idea, on a standard Windows Network, 4/5PC's would cost approximately £100 pcm.
